On Thursday, September 26th, Nancy (Martin) Barnaby, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 72. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 320 North Main, Moline, KS 67353 on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM. Interment following Mass will take place at Longton Cemetery, Longton, Kansas. Friends may sign the register on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving guest from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Webb & Rodrick Chapel.  On Thursday, October 24, 2019 the family will hold a Memorial Visitation  from 3:00 -6:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 2900 Kimball Ave. Manhattan, Kansas. Nancy was born July 7, 1947 in Ottawa, KS, to John and Mildred Martin. She married Art Barnaby on July 22, 1967, and they raised two sons together, Mark and Michael. Nancy received her BS in nursing from Fort Hays State University in 1974. She practiced as a nurse in the labor & delivery unit in Las Cruces, NM, psychiatric hospital in College Station, TX, Homecare & Hospice in Manhattan, KS and finished her career as a diabetes educator at Via Cristi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. Nancy had a passion for helping and taking care of other whether it was family, a friend or just someone in need. She was an avid collector of antiques, quilts, and knickknacks. She enjoyed traveling to see her granddaughters Annika, Alea, Aalyiah, Anissa, and Kennedy as well as other family members. Nancy was preceded in death by her father John, her mother Mildred, and brother John Martin III. She is survived by her husband Art, her two sons Mark and wife Krisann; and Michael and wife Jen; her sisters Sally Morgan and husband Ed, Patty Wiseman and husband Randy, Jean Willson and husband Bill, her bother Tom Martin and wife Vickie, and her five granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the School of Nursing at Fort Hays State University or the Martin Family Scholarship Fund, c/o Howard State Bank in Howard, KS.
