Michael Allen Felkins, 70, of Independence, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Webb and Rodrick Chapel and no services are planned at this time.

Mike was welcomed into this world on May 4, 1952 in Chanute, Kansas to Marion and Eva Faye (Bailey) Felkins. Mike was a proud graduated of Independence High School in 1970. Shortly after graduation, Mike began his lifelong obsession and career in construction. Through the years, Mike worked laying asphalt, and concrete, he later developed his skills and began working as a heavy equipment operator. Mike loved to tinker with engines, work on motorcycles and fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Eva Faye Felkins.

He leaves behind two brothers, Ronald Felkins of Independence, Kansas, and Gary and wife Avis Felkins of Quarter, Missouri, sister, Patti Felkins of Cany, Kansas, and seven nieces and nephews. To leave the family a special message of condolence, please visit, www.webbrodrickchapel.com.
